Internal proofing
Internal proofing is mainly to stop rodents from coming into your living space. Usual entrance points can be kitchens, utility rooms, living rooms, and even bathrooms. This process involves filling all gaps around pipes that run through the ceiling, walls, and floor, missing boards, greater gaps between floorboards and skirting boards, gaps around radiators pipes as well as gaps around wires.
External proofing
External proofing is to stop rodents from entering your building through gaps around pipes, gaps under the door, air vents, gaps around low-level rooflines, lintel bridges, and sometimes gaps between extensions.
We advise using one of our other services first. Surveying premises and drain surveying can provide you with all the information, from finding what type of vermin/rodent you may have in your premises, to what next steps should be taken to permanently and successfully solve the problem your property has. To fully proof your house, we advise doing internal & external proofing, occasionally also drain check/repairing if required. However, surveying around your property and drain check can reduce your final bill as perhaps one of these will resolve your rodent invasion.
Loft proofing
Lofts are a favorite place for rodents to create a nest. Most pest control companies are not providing loft proofing. RCS specializes in loft proofing to give you peace of mind, that all areas of your house are rodent proof.
Drain proofing
We recommend for every single client who experiences rodent problems, mainly rats, to install rat-free valves, which are introduced into your drains to fully give you a rat-free drainage system.
Drain repair
We can repair your drain if needed. We advise using our CCTV drain check service first to check their condition and repair them if needed.
CCTV drain survey
We provide a CCTV drain inspection. The main benefit of using CCTV drain surveying is when you are planning to undertake any building work on your premises or simply planning to sell/buy a house. It’s also very beneficial when you are planning to insure your house during events like floods and subsidence. This service is often the quickest way to find the problem. We advise using this service as a preventive maintenance check, which is less problematic and less expensive than dealing with the major problem in your drains. This service can show the condition of your drainage system.
Surveying premises
This service is very crucial when you want permanently and successfully resolve your vermin/rodent problem and not spend a fortune on unnecessary services. You can use this service independently from our other services. We are happy to do surveying and provide you with a price and full list of necessary steps and services you should use to solve your rodent problem.
Drain repairs (lintol bridges, misalignment, breaks, no-dig repairs)
If your drainage system was not serviced for a long time, consider this service too.
If somewhere around your house you spotted any borrow holes, usually they had been made by rats and other rodents. If they are close to the building or house, then it can become a new entry point for them. They can dig down until they hit the pipes which usually run through the lintel bridge and under your house past the cavity wall.
A faulty drainage system can lead to many opportunities for new entry points for rodents. It can also cause misalignments, breakages, or even redundant inlets. Simply, it is a green light for them to invade your house and enter your property’s living space.
Drain jetting & clearing
Jetting and unblocking services are very important for the long-term health and durability of your drains. This service can save you lots of money as this is one of our preventive services. We can unblock your winser trap and gullies, so they can still serve you by flowing your waste easily for many years to come.
External pipes proofing (gas, water, waste, drain ) & wires
This service provides you care of your gas, water, electric wires, and waste drain where there is easy access to them and check if there are any entry points for rodents around them. This service can only apply as an additional service when external proofing is in progress.
New inspection chambers
If you do not have access to your drains from your premises, then the inspection chamber is a necessity on your land. It gives you an opportunity to get easy access to your drain, to check their condition, and from then on, any maintenance work if needed.
